The short hoist specification reads: Class 1 or 2, type H, 1.5 US ton (1.4T) to 3 US ton (2.7t) convertible capacity, 57in (1.45m) to 10ft (3m) lift. Hooks and chain shall be corrosion-resistant. Swivel-type hooks with safety devices should be fitted. Painting shall be manufacturing standard commercial practice. The military specification is entitled: Hoist, chain, hand-operated, hook and trolley suspension.
