The occasion will be marked by a series of events and a summer gala for its staff, customers and suppliers.

Chief executive Doug Stitt said: “Not only have we existed for 70 years, but we’ve contributed to how people lift and move things, and how they can do it more safely. We’ve been able to provide a great place to work and created a community, so it’s really a celebration of all our people, suppliers, and customers that have supported and contributed to success and longevity.”

Based in Rockford, Illinois, the company was founded in 1954 by Leslie Caldwell who designed and fabricated slings. The company now manufacturers lifting and spreader beams, jib and gantry cranes and fork truck attachments amongst other things thanks to a number of acquisitions over the years, it employs 120 full time staff.
