Parker Hannifin, motion and control technologies, will demonstrate its commitment to pushing the boundaries of mobile electrification for a cleaner, better tomorrow at FinnMETKO 2024.
In partnership with Volvo Construction Equipment (CE), Parker will showcase a ePTO from a wheel loader that has been converted from diesel to fully electric using several of its key components, including the Parker QDC air fluid cooler.
“The electrification of machinery significantly reduces noise and exhaust pollution, especially when operating in urban or enclosed environments – so much so that some companies are beginning to stipulate electric-driven equipment on their tender requirements,” says Ari Puranen, application engineering manager, Mobile & Truck, Parker Sales Company Nordics.
“But, electrification brings several challenges, one of which is thermal management. Our QDC air fluid cooler, with its high power density, efficiency and low operating noise, offers the industry unique benefits.”
Visitors to the stand will also get to see Volvo CE’s FIA World RC Championship race car, which will be on display. On Thursday, August 29, with an exclusive FinnMETKO sweepstake competition, they will also have a chance to meet with its driver, Niclas Grönholm.
