Based in Winona, Minnesota, OZ Lifting is known for its lineup of davit cranes. The newly revamped Tele-Pro model, available in 500 lb., 1,200 lb., and 2,500 lb. capacities, offers enhanced functionality, including the ability to telescope the boom in and out under load. Despite these updates, key specifications such as hook reach and lifting height remain unchanged, but several new improvements will be revealed to ProMat attendees for the first time.

“The show provides a valuable opportunity for us to better serve and understand the industries we cater to. We recognize that we are among a dwindling number of lifting equipment vendors at ProMat, and we often hear that we’re one of the few hoist or lifting equipment manufacturers at the event. This gives us a chance to strengthen our brand presence and connect with users, which is crucial for our product development process,” said Steve Napieralski, president, OZ Lifting.

The U.S. Patented Tele-Pro will be the focal point of a 10 ft. by 20 ft. exhibit. The crane now offers smoother boom operation under load, increased maneuverability, clearer capacity indicators, a high-visibility industrial powder coat finish, and simplified maintenance procedures. These enhancements will be demonstrated live on the show floor, allowing attendees to see the crane in action.

Drawing from advanced engineering and extensive testing, OZ Lifting’s engineers have refined the telescoping function for smoother, more consistent operation, even when under load. This improvement minimizes resistance and strain, helping operators handle loads more efficiently and safely. A new handle has also been added, providing greater precision in load rotation and offering full 360-degree maneuverability. This addition is particularly useful for operators working in confined spaces or high-risk environments, where precise load positioning is crucial.

In addition to functional upgrades, the Tele-Pro crane now features a high-visibility yellow powder coat finish that enhances both durability and corrosion resistance. New dual rating decals, displaying both imperial and metric load capacities for various boom angles, ensure that operators can easily verify load limits. The crane’s maintenance has also been simplified with the inclusion of top and bottom grease zerk fittings, reducing downtime while extending the crane’s service life.

ProMat attendees will also see new products debuting at the show, including a versatile wheelbase compatible with the entire range of davit cranes up to 1,200 lbs. capacity, as well as wireless adapters for electric chain hoists and builder’s (wire rope) hoists. OZ Lifting’s electric chain hoists come in 500 lb., 1,000 lb., 2,000 lb., and 4,000 lb. capacities, while the builder’s hoist is available in 500 lb. and 1,000 lb. capacities. Wireless adapters are compatible with all models except for the smallest electric chain hoist. Additionally, a variety of lever and chain hoists, including stainless steel and spark-resistant options, will be on display.

OZ Lifting will celebrate its 20th anniversary prior to ProMat and is preparing to move into a new 40,000 square-foot facility. A redesigned website is also set to launch soon. Napieralski will be joined at the show by Richard Miller, sales manager, and Ashley Blum, marketing manager.
