Kito Crosby has introduced a line of hoists and load monitoring systems designed to improve safety, precision, and efficiency in overhead power line construction. The products have been designed to support the heavy-lift operations that are critical to building and maintaining robust energy infrastructure.

The newly released equipment is specifically engineered for the installation, maintenance, and repair of power lines, including high-voltage transmission and distribution lines. These assist in lifting, pulling, or tensioning cables, tools, and other materials. The product lineup includes Kito LB and LB-SL Lever Hoists, Crosby Straightpoint COLT & BOLT tensiometers for measuring cable tension, wireless load monitoring systems like the SID & RLP load cells, as well as Crosby shackles and lifting points for general lifting and rigging.

Kito’s LB lever hoists are already well-established in the power line industry. For existing customers, certified distributors can modify their Kito LB fleets to the new Kito LB-SL models with the help of modification kits.

Travis Buck, Sr. director, sales & customer service EMEA at Kito Crosby, emphasized the importance of safety when working on overhead power lines. “Working on overhead power lines involves significant risks due to high voltage and physical hazards. Our solutions offer innovative features that ensure precise operations in challenging conditions,” he said.

By embracing advanced load monitoring and hoisting technology, Kito Crosby reinforces its commitment to safety, efficiency, and technological progress.
