RAXTAR, a provider of vertical access solutions based in the Netherlands, has completed work on the Chapter London Bridge project, a student accommodation in the UK.

The development is a collaboration between Greystar Real Estate Partners and the Public Sector Pension Investment Board (PSP Investments), a Canadian pension investment manager. Mace has been appointed as the principal contractor for the construction of the building.

Mace selected RAXTAR to deliver advanced access solutions tailored to the project’s spatial constraints. To address these challenges, RAXTAR provided its RX Expert Series twin hoists, which functioned throughout the project.

RAXTAR stated that its hoists were designed in collaboration with major contractors across Europe and the US, ensuring compliance with high quality and safety standards while offering reliability.

The RX Expert Series hoists were equipped with features such as RX data control, specialised hydraulic ramps, 360-degree cameras, and a 2m wide hoist extension, highlighting RAXTAR’s focus on innovation.

RAXTAR, in a LinkedIn post, said: “This has been an incredibly rewarding project to be a part of, and I am immensely proud of our team and what we’ve accomplished in RAXTAR’s first collaboration with Mace.

“A special thank you to Vertikal Hoist Solutions and Mohammed Jaan for their professionalism and ongoing support throughout the project.”

The Chapter London Bridge project consists of a 39-storey tower, reaching a height of 453ft, and will provide 905 student beds alongside 15,000ft² of amenity space. The tower has been designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF) in conjunction with Greystar’s internal global design team.
