China-based crane supplier Xinxiang Nucleon Crane has installed two 10-ton overhead cranes for a metal fabrication industry client in Brazil.
The installation required the customer to reinforce their workshop columns to ensure stable crane operation and enhanced load-bearing capacity.
The client procured two complete cranes, including all runway beams and square steel rails.
The cranes feature a span of 23.55m, a lifting height of 6.5m, and a double-speed lifting mechanism with speeds of 8.4/0.84m/min.
They feature adjustable trolley and travel speeds, with variable frequency drives (VFD) providing flexibility.
The technical specifications of the cranes include a crane travelling speed of 3.6-36m/min, a trolley travelling speed of 2.4-24m/min, and a crane wheel diameter of 250mm.
They operate on a 220V, 60Hz, three-phase power supply and are classified under work group A4, ensuring reliable performance in demanding environments.
Nucleon, in a LinkedIn post, said: “We recently installed two 10-ton overhead cranes for a customer in Latin America. The client, active in the metal fabrication industry, reinforced their workshop columns in advance to ensure stable crane operation and better load-bearing capacity.
“Before installing the crane, the customer reinforced the existing columns in the workshop to better bear the load. The two complete cranes, all runway beams, and square steel rails in the workshop were all purchased from us.”
Recently, Nucleon announced the export of six LD single girder overhead cranes to Yemen, where the company’s engineering team will be on-site for the installation process.
The company has designed the LD type single girder overhead cranes with a capacity of five tons, a span length of 16.5m, and a lifting height of 6m.
The cranes operate under a work duty of A5 and are powered by a 380V/50Hz/3Ph source, and they are controlled remotely, offering flexibility and ease of use.
The Chinese crane company completed the project, from initial consultation to delivery, within two months.
