Ingalles Shipyard of Pascagoula, Mississippi in the USA was scheduled to take delivery in August of a new Goliath crane with a safe working load of 660t.
It is shown here in production at Wear Engineering’s Pallion Shipyard in Sunderland, UK. Wear Engineering was working under subcontract to KCI Konecranes of Finland. The crane, which weighs 1,200t, was fabricated in six sections. Complete, it measures 128m long, 10m high, and 8.4m wide.
