Remote control specialist Cattron claims to have overcome problems controlling cranes on a computer assembly line with its new IT series portable remote control system.
The low frequency system that was previously used allowed the cranes to be operated from a safe distance but the 15t and 100t cranes were making uncommanded movements because the computer equipment interfered with the control system’s frequency.
The new controller prevents incorrect operation if there is interference and uses a multi-frequency synthesised radio system so the operator can change channels.
Joystick or pushbutton versions are available.
