AMC, based in Turin, Italy, centres its developments around technical expertise in magneto-inductive analysis, built over many years of co-operation with the Polytechnic University of Turin. Its systems are both sold and rented to customers in sectors including cranes, heavy lifting, oil and gas, as well as elevators and ropeways.
The acquisition is in line with the Lifting Solutions group’s increased focus on digital solutions. Ralf Wiberg, managing director of Lifting Solutions, Axel Johnson International, said: “AMC’s know-how will further increase the sophistication of our service offering. Their competence in remote monitoring and advanced sensor technology is highly relevant to our existing business.”
AMC was founded in 2007 by a team of professors and researchers as a spin-off from the Polytechnic University of Turin, and today employs eight people.
