Wright has been elected as a director of LEEA, complimenting his existing roles in the lifting industry. Since 2000, he has served as chairman of the Crane and Mechanical Handling Forum, an informal body that focuses on health and safety, new products and standards, and regulatory changes. Through this role, he is a member of the Offshore Mechanical Handling Equipment Committee, which comprises representatives from nations with North Sea offshore operations and also has a remit improving safety and harmonising good practice.

“It is a great honour to have been elected to the association’s board and for our company’s contribution to the industry to be recognised in this way,” Wright said.

“I am looking forward to becoming involved in the further development of the association’s remit and to working with colleagues from across the sector to continue to raise standards in the lifting industry.”
