He joins the company from Bridon International, part of international engineering group FKI plc (now Melrose plc), where he was global sales and marketing director.

Gott previously spent 11 years at engineering solutions giant, Weir Minerals, where he headed up marketing across Europe, Middle East and Africa and led the company’s expansion into the former Soviet Union.

He will be responsible for developing the division’s sales and marketing strategy as it continues to expand and develop new services.

The engineering business serves customers across a wide range of sectors including construction, rail, oil and gas, civil engineering, offshore, petrochemical and manufacturing industries.

Gott said: “It’s great to be working within such a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation. Speedy has grown phenomenally over the last few years, both organically and through acquisition, and there are so many opportunities for the business.”

He added: “I’m looking forward to helping the division expand beyond its traditional construction customer base.”
