Kinnunen will take up the post on 1 December, 2009, succeeding Sanna Päiväniemi.
Konecranes said Kinnunen has a broad experience in the field of international investor relations, and joins Konecranes from Carnegie Investment Bank AB, where he worked from 2001 onwards as a financial analyst and in other positions.
