US company Sumner Manufacturing’s Roust-a-Bout wheeled jib crane is now CE approved for sale in Europe is and available from Sumner’s warehouses in Telford, UK and Rotterdam, Netherlands.
Two models are available immediately: the R100, with a maximum lift height of 4.6m (10ft); and the R250, with a maximum lift height of 7.6m (25ft). Both have a lift capacity of 680kg.
A third model, the R150, which has a slightly wider base than the R100, for greater stability, is expected to become available later in the year.
Based in Houston, Texas, Sumner has traditionally sold lifting and welding support products to the oil industry. The Roust-a-Bout was originally designed for handling pipes but according to Sumner is equally useful for a range of applications.
