Cook, who lives in Chesterfield, previously held a similar position with leading accountants and business advisors, PKF.
Reporting directly to the managing director, she will now oversee DavyMarkham’s below-the-line activities, including events, exhibitions and internet marketing, undertake extensive supplier benchmarking, with a view to improving competitive stance, and liaise with the company’s external PR consultancy.
Cook recently completed an MSc in Marketing Management at Sheffield Hallam University, having studied at Tupton Hall School and Chesterfield College, where she gained a CIM Advanced Certificate in Marketing.
She worked at the Sheffield office of PKF UK for nine years, initially as a departmental secretary and HR assistant, latterly as the firm’s marketing executive for five years. In that capacity, she managed the local marketing budget, coordinated seminar programmes and customer hospitality events, produced an in-house staff newsletter and supervised the external telemarketing and PR agencies.
