An already existing crane was to be replaced but the crane runway was to be included without changes. Structural changes on the adjoining building were not possible. Demands also included the increase of the ultimate load from 6-8t. The hoisting height had to be heightened by a minimum of 50mm compared to the old crane and the approach dimensions had to be bettered by 500mm.
Hoists and trolleys were supplied by Mannheim, Germany-based SWF Krantechnik. The electric wire rope hoist NOVA was chosen, increasing the hoisting height by 75mm.
Ottenbach equipped the semi-gantry crane with a span of 7.9m and a remote control system with LCD load display in pendant.
