On its stand will be the GH series hoist drives for loads from 3.2-25t in 4/1 reeving (two-speed and with frequency inverter) and G-series travel drives (with inline helical gearbox/two-speed and with frequency inverter).
Also on show will be its FGA-series travel drives (with shaft mounted gear box/two-speed and with frequency inverter).
New to its range is the GH 3201, with lifting capacities up to 3,200kg, and PDC frequency inverters.
The GH 3201 allows for drum diameters of 140mm to be easily adaptable to specific uses, and can reach lifting speeds of 8m/min with a 4/1 reeving. Powerful, specifically developed hoist motors with outputs from 0.37/2.5kW up to 0.6/4.0kW (12/2-poles) “operate reliably even with unstable power supplies and in tough environments,” ABM said.
Two-speed versions are available in four lifting speeds from 4-8m/min. ABM motors are designed for minimal pole switching shock to preserve the drive and switch elements.
“The GH 3201 line is easily adaptable to crane builder’s needs for different protection class and options. Hoist motors can be equipped with external fans or encoders for inverter operation,” ABM said.
It added: “We are about half way through the development of a new GH hoist drive for 40t in 4/1 reeving which will be launched after finishing the life time tests in November 2008.”
It explained that the new GH drive will “allow customers to get a share of the market that is today dominated by either twin hoists or winches.”
