A number of working areas where smaller parts are preassembled can be reached with the cranes. The completed components are then transported from the outer parts of the hall by overhead cranes to the middle of the building for final assembly.

The three wall travelling cranes are used on a crane runway of 100m while an anti collision device prevents them crashing.

The total length of the girders is 6.4m, the length of the trolley drive is 6m. The girders were built with an HEA 500. The distance between the lower part of the girder and the ground is 6.6m.

Gersag used Nova electric wire rope hoists with low headroom from the Mannheim, Germany-based hoisting specialist SWF Krantechnik. The ultimate load of the hoists is 2,000kg with a maximum hoisting height of 6.2m.

The compact electric wire rope hoists make nearly complete use of the girder for transporting the load up to 6m possible. Two traction drives at the endtruck operate the crane drive, while the hoists can be operated via remote control.
