One of 14 strategically located facilities across the UK, the centre is situated in Rochester, Kent.
Some 20% bigger than the company’s previous facility, the new 2,875 sq ft materials handling centre is complete with fully equipped workshop, extensive parts storage space and on-site office accommodation.
Manned by two permanent on-site administration staff and a team of 10 fleet engineers, it will be run and operated by centre manager Dave Beggs, who will work in conjunction with regional manager Cliff Hilson.
Importantly, the centre will support a number of key accounts, none more so than the repair and maintenance partnering agreement that Morris enjoys with RWE npower – one of the UK’s largest energy generators and suppliers.
The company also operates a rolling contract for two Kone CSUs (continuous ship unloaders) on the same site.
