Price worked at Lloyds British, where he looked after its lifting gear sales and hire business and at Coubro & Scrutton, where he promoted a range of lifting products. He was later responsible for managing a lifting equipment inspection contract at BP’s Coryton refinery in Essex, where he gained knowledge of cranes and testing work.

Assisting Price as business development coordinator (wire ropes) will be Helena Cumming. She joined the company in November 2006. Together, the pair will spearhead Cosalt’s attack on the wire rope market, particularly for specialist crane applications. Cosalt is sole distributor in the UK and Ireland for leading European steel wire rope manufacturer Redaelli Tecna Cordati.

Cosalt’s national rope sales manager Nick Dennison said: “These appointments signal our commitment to the specialist crane wire market, which includes tower, mobile and dockside cranes, general lifting and testing services and any other wire rope opportunities available to us.”

Cosalt claimed to be the market-leading provider of marine safety products and services in Europe. The company operates a business network spanning 24 separate locations – 18 of which are fully approved liferaft and lifejacket services stations.
