The number one turbine hall crane will be equipped with state of the art control equipment, including a new trolley with DynAHoist and DynAC inverter controls on the hoist and cross travel. At the same time, the long travel will be upgraded with a DynAC inverter control system.
The modernisation team will also fit new festoon cables and rewire the crane.
The contract, worth £164,200 (over Euros 250,000), will be carried out next month (February).
