Promoted by co-owners BITA (British Industrial Truck Association) and Quartz Publishing and Exhibitions Ltd, they said IMHX 2007 is set to be the country’s largest handling industry live event to date.

With a total footprint of 45,000 square metres, the show is expected to attract in excess of 17,000 visitors from the UK and overseas. Many of the industry’s leading companies will be exhibiting, with recently confirmed exhibitors including Stanley Handling, Kalmar, Benning, 3M Supply Chain Solutions, Storax, Flowstore, Galebreaker and Palletforce.

A new feature at IMHX will be the so-called supply chain technology pavilion. Designed exclusively for IT solution providers, this area will provide what organisers are calling a “cost-effective means of exhibiting”.

Featuring 14 shell scheme stands sized approximately 6 sq m, the pavilion will feature Internet connection, lighting, power, a table, three chairs, a lockable cupboard and carpeting – all for the inclusive price of £2,750.

Explained Christine Attew of IMHX organisers, Quartz: “This is great value and, what’s more, the stands are arranged around a communal lounge area, which is exclusive to the pavilion’s exhibitors and their clients. Here, hospitality can be offered and business can be discussed more discreetly, away from the busy exhibition aisles.”
