Eclipse Magnetics of the UK and Tecnomagnete SpA of Italy have announced a £3m ($4.3m) contra-trading deal. The partnership will see the two companies working together on the development of electro-permanent work-holding chucks and lifting systems in the UK.
Eclipse managing director Ian Asquith is predicting that by pooling both companies’ technical resources, they will be able to reduce prices by up to 50% on certain lines. Tecnomagnete will move from it’s current UK office into Eclipse’s headquarters at Sheffield.
