Provision of additional production facilities at Corbett’s Telford galvanising plant in the UK includes three 13m cranes from HoistQuip.
The double-beam cranes are designed to accommodate two 3.2t SWL electric chain hoists in a low headroom crab unit. Each 6m lift hoist unit is individually controlled for speed and direction. Electric control is by low voltage circuits and pendant push-button boxes. HoistQuip also fitted a power supply 70m down the shop, together with a stainless steel conductor bar.
The project, commissioned in August, represented repeat business for HoistQuip as four years ago it manufactured and installed three 8.5m-span double-beam cranes in the factory, each with a pair of 2t electric chain hoists.
