LoadLock, it said, is the industry’s first snag load prevention feature that proactively reduces the effects of operator induced shock loading.
In any hoisting application the operator is tasked with slowly raising a load off the ground. Given this is dependent on the individual operator and can frequently cause shock loading, this results in cumulative fatigue on the crane’s mechanical and structural components.
By activating the LoadLock feature, the inverter will constantly monitor for a rapid increase in torque (snag load) and, if sensed, LoadLock will automatically decrease the hoist speed. Once stabilised, the speed will resume to the original speed requested by the operator.
The feature can be especially helpful with cranes used in delicate lifting applications and process duty environments.
