The Master Cutlers Challenge was first launched in 2008 and has become one of the largest annual fundraising events in Sheffield. Over the years, the challenge has inspired companies, organisations, schools and individuals to raise in excess of half a million pounds for local causes.

Organised by Cavendish Cancer Care, which supports people across South Yorkshire, North Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire who are living with cancer, the challenge launched on March 9, 2022 and will run until the end of September, giving people six months to raise as much money as possible.

“The SCE Group is proud to announce it will be supporting the Master Cutler's Challenge as part of its fundraising efforts for 2022. As well as supporting Cavendish Cancer Care, SCE will also be taking part in several fundraising efforts to mark its 50th anniversary,” a spokesman for SCE said.

The SCE Group (formally SCX Group) has also supported Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice since 2015, The Children’s Hospital Charity, The Bears of Sheffield, and The Movember Foundation.

”Bluebell Wood is an organisation close to our hearts. Its hospice has opened its doors to many vulnerable children over the years, including that of a member of our team. This was the inspiration to support Bluebell Wood originally and will be the reason why we continue to support them in the future,” SCE added.
