The work includes the cleaning of the existing brake drums, removal of the old brake assemblies and thrusters, installation of new brake assemblies and thrusters utilising the existing mounting bolt locations, burnishing the new pads, performance testing and commissioning.
Additional efforts shall include removal of old asbestos lined brake pads from assembly framing and placing in plastic bags for Corps disposal.
