The recruitment drive within the wind energy sector forms part of deugro’s global strategy to increase investment in the sustainable energy industry, coinciding with the company’s 100-yearanniversary this year.

“Over the last few years, wind and renewable energy has played an increasingly vital role in the deugro story, which led us to establish a division focused purely on Wind Renewable Energy several years ago,” said Kasper Heiselberg, head, Global Wind Renewable Industry Operations, deugro.

“We focus on following the constant changing needs of our clients, and to stay ahead we are further investing in our engineering and technical teams to create the required products, making us perfectly placed to add value to these clients by overcoming technical challenges and meet the segment growth in demand.

“As a part of our journey we will continue to make key hires over the remainder of 2024 and beyond as we expand our focus on this sector and help our clients achieve a greener, more sustainable future.”

Elsewhere, deugro is running a green energy logistics hub in the port of Wilhelmshaven, Germany, which will be further developed to be operational ready for even more wind related projects.

When complete at the end of this year, the hub will service the needs of deugro’s clients in the onshore and offshore wind industry, providing unrestricted access for oceangoing vessels and direct hinterland connections to Germany’s freeways and the European rail network.

Family-owned deugro, a highly specialised freight forwarder with a strong focus on turnkey logistics solutions for industrial projects, was founded in 1924 in Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Thanks to a vast network of more than 70 company-owned offices in over 40 countries, deugro leverages comprehensive and in-depth expertise around the world to deliver on its promise.
