Two new crane scale products have been added to the product line of US company Drafto Corporation.
A motorised rotating coil grab with built-in crane scale was engineered for a US car manufacturer to check the weight of coils purchased from its steel suppliers. The grab checks the weight during normal handling so no extra lifts are required. The crane scale can be read either on the lifting device directly or remotely at the base of the station. The rotating coil grab also has continuous belt edge protector modules, dual plunger safety saddle trips, and front and rear rollers.
The second innovation is a rotating hook block with a crane scale. The Rotaweigh, as it is called, has readouts on either side of the hookblock as well as a remote readout. It can be powered either by rechargeable batteries or from the crane’s power source.
