Featuring products from TII Group including Scheuerle and KAMAG, TPSE is the source for SPMTs, PowerHoss, Shipyard Transporters, Heavy Lift Industrial Transporters, Hydraulic Road Trailers and more. From ship sections to whole vessels, windmill blades, nacelles and monopiles, generators, steel fixtures TPSE provides equipment that allows these manufacturers, facilities and contractors to move large heavy loads and Material and Machinery Handling Devices from Mouvers.
The most efficient transportation device for moving heavy loads on site is the SPMT/Self Propelled Modular Transporter, developed by Scheuerle 40 years ago. These units can move enormous loads, while mechanically connected or in open compound configurations. Recently, a Wind Work Vessel weighing 23,163 tons was moved from port facilities in Texas onto three barges for launch. 880 axle lines of SPMTs including 28 Power Packs were used.
One of the most common realizations at these locations is the fact that once this equipment is onsite it offers so many solutions that extend past the initial task for which they were purchased or rented. Once an initial project is completed the modularity of the SPMT makes it a preferred transport solution. When visiting these sites, SPMTs can be seen moving loads throughout the day. Loads of any size and weight can be moved in any direction by utilizing SPMTs. It is apparent these industries are expanding throughout North America and the world. vessels are becoming bigger, freight into ports is increasing and power generation is a growing focus. Heavy Lift Transportation equipment is now more of a necessity than a specialty product. Cranes, as everyone knows lift heavy items, but the challenge is how do heavy loads get to the crane site or how are they moved into place after the crane places them? SPMTs and material movers are the answer. They are a great option, while inside moves where a forklift or roller dolly were the norm can now be done using powered dolly skates that have much greater steering capabilities and heavier load capacities. Devices such as the Mouvers Apollo and Voyager can maneuver in tight environments with loads up to 140t. Heavy transport technology will continue to be a major asset in keeping ports, shipyards and other industrial facilities moving.
