Spanish crane manufacturer Industrias Electromecanicas GH is continuing its international expansion with new sales offices in Argentina and Mexico planned to start operating later this year.
This follows the establishment of sales offices in the UK, Germany and Italy last year and a 25% rise in exports over the last two years.
UK-based GH Crane & Hoist, run by Paul Weldon-Johnston, was established last year to supply components and EOT crane kits to customers in the UK, Australia, South Africa, the USA and Canada. The company is also looking for UK distributors for its hoist units and crane kits.
The branches in Germany and Italy are part of GH’s Irugasa marketing organisation. German clients include car manufacturer Audi, for whom GH is building five large EOT cranes.
Another new division is GH Marine Hoist, which markets the range of mobile marine hoists that the company has manufactured for more than 20 years. This division has offices in the UK and Spain. Current orders include a 300t-capacity marine hoist for a client in Portugal and recent deliveries include an order for three units in Tunisia. Despite stiffening competition, GH says orders continue to rise, particularly in the 20t to 50t SWL range.
