The work consists of the fabrication and delivery of three new lift gates, transportation and installation of two government-furnished emergency bulkhead units and four government-furnished lift gates. This part of the contract includes the removal of the existing vertical lift gates, gate hoist machinery and machinery houses and modification of the dam piers to accommodate the new hydraulic gate hoist equipment.
The gates are approximately 100ft long, 14ft high, and weigh approximately 93 US tons.
