United Defense LP of York, Pennsylvania has begun taking shipment of 65 P&H winches from US supplier Morris Material Handling Inc.
Rated at 63.5t (140,000 lb), the winches are to be used by the United States Marine Corps on its Hercules heavy recovery vehicle. Morris is the sole supplier of recovery winches for this vehicle.
“This is a niche product for us,” said Morris director of engineering Steve McCormick, “but it serves an important role in supporting the heavy equipment used by our peacekeeping forces around the world.”
