Pfaff-silberblau Ltd in the UK is now offering the full range of Gis hoists with the option of special safety features for moving loads over people’s heads.
The distributor says that all Gis hoists can be made available to the German safety specifications VBG-70. These hoists feature double the normal safety factor, four position limit switches, two independently operating brakes, and underload and overload protection.
Another option that is offered on standard Gis hoists is an overspeed detection and prevention device, similar in concept to a tachograph on a highway vehicle. The overspeed device is fitted into the gearbox assembly and prevents travel beyond a programmed limit.
