The ninth iteration of LiftEx, the UK’s leading lifting exhibition, takes place on the 14-15th November in Bolton, and with all exhibitor space long since sold out, this year’s event is set to be the biggest yet.

The two-day event builds on a successful showing last year in Coventry that itself was 55% larger than the 2011 exhibition, with a 25% increase in visitors through the door.

LiftEx takes place at the USN Bolton Arena and the organisers are confident the show will be the most successful to date.

Great expectations Leah Phelps, managing director of L2 Business Events, says she hopes that this year’s event generates additional footfall from the end users, the type of visitor the exhibitors really want to get in front of.

Last year we achieved just under 600 attendees, we hope to approach 700 this year and make it the largest yet," she says. We want to make the end user visitor aware of the TEAM card, which is a new initiative by the Lifting Equipment Engineers Association (LEEA) to raise standards of safety in lifting equipment testing, examination and maintenance. Currently, most member companies are focusing on strengthening their service offer by more staff training."

Visitors to the 2013 will find the return of the Innovation Theatre, which gives companies the opportunity to present a new product or application to an audience of up to 50 visitors within the theatre for 30 minutes.

Awarding innovation

The LiftEx team has two awards, ‘The LEEA Most Innovative Product Award’ and ‘The LEEA Most Innovative Application of an Existing Product Award’, on offer for the company with the most impressive product and application on show. The winners will be announced at the end of the show and these will also benefit from coverage through the LEEA website and also in post event editorial.

For those interested in submitting a potential presentation for this event, please email events@leea.co.uk by 29th September.

In addition, LiftEx 2013 will feature a daily "Technical Surgery". This show feature will take place daily on the LEEA stand, which will offer visitors the chance to discuss any burning technical issues they may have with members of the LEEA technical team that will be on hand to impart their unrivalled technical knowledge to guests.
