The Kubra EZPay POLB Customer Portal is designed to take payments using a customer’s credit card or bank account information. Payments may still also be made by cheque or cashier’s cheque, as indicated in the instructions for each permit or registration application.
The customer portal is only for permit and registration fees; there are no changes to any other port billing or payment procedures.
Launched in 2008, the Port of Long Beach’s CTP implemented a progressive ban on older heavypolluting diesel drayage trucks. In 2012, it permanently banned the last such trucks from port terminals. When the CTP was fully implemented in 2012, port truck emissions were reduced by more than 90%. Today, there are over 22,000 drayage trucks available to service the port terminals, and over half of those trucks have 2010 or newer emission-compliant engines.
From October 2018, any new trucks registered in the Port Drayage Truck Registry (PDTR) had to be model year 2014 or newer. Drayage trucks registered prior to this date, that are current on their annual registration fees as of 30 September 2018, and are compliant with state law, may continue to operate at the port.
