Bombardier Aerospace/Learjet has installed a new tank line process dipping crane at its new metal surface treatment finishing facility in Wichita, Kansas in the USA.
The automated dipping crane, designed and manufactured by TC/American Monorail, will be used for cleaning, alodining and anodising aluminium alloys. It can dip loads of up to 2,000lb (907kg) per cycle.
Based on a double girder crane, the system is designed for continuous operation 24 hours a day with a service life of more than 20 years in temperatures of up to 120°F.
