The government intends to procure this equipment under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Section 6.302-1. The David Round Company is the manufacturer of the portable reverse style cantilever hydraulic floor crane which is the only floor crane capable of performing the unique tasks of installing/removing CV-22 components. However, the government will consider all responses received within 15 days after the publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
