This project consists of removing existing crane and providing and installing one overhead crane single girder bridge, trolley, and hoist to existing box girder crane runway in the park’s locomotive building weld shop.
Work requires the removal of existing crane electrical system. Inspection of existing rails, stops, anchors, bracing, and overall bridge and trolley support structure for compatibility, integrity, cracks, defects, loose rivets and bolts, load capacity, and excessive wear as per ANSI/ASME B 30. 16 and B 30.17 and Crane Manufacturers Association of America (CMAA) Guideline #74.
Provide and install all components for CMAA Class B Light Duty 2t capacity single girder overhead bridge and under hanging trolley and hoist to existing box runway. Provide wireless remote control system for crane operation. Provide and install all electrical components needed to bring crane to electrical compliance as per federal, State, and Local government regulations.
