The cranes should be CMAA class C with variable speed motors on hoist, crane and trolley.     They should meet all OSHA, CMAA, and ANSI standards. Span: 48ft (14.6m). Distance from floor to top rail:       19ft 8in. Both ends of girder will have drive wheels.

Electrification:  460-3-60 with 8 button pendant direction control on separate track. Bumpers:  8 total, 4 on each crane, designated at 8 long. Bumpers shall be engineered over drive wheels (or proven design) to be centered to each bumper installed. Bumper design shall accept speeds and loads from new crane and existing cranes during any collision on rails.     Bumpers shall match with design and height on existing 3-ton cranes in this same bay. Crane manufacturer: UESCO or equal. Hoist type:  wire rope, electric (true vertical lift). Hoist, trolley and bridge shall have variable speed control with lift speed of 196 ft/min, trolley 65 ft/min. Electrification: 460-3-60. Hoist manufacturer:  R&M or equal. Rock Island Arsenal will: 

-Unload the crane at our site.

-Set crane on rails after contractor sets trolley and bridge and confirms crane is ready for installation.

-Will provide crane weights for contractor to verify load test.

The Contractor Will:

– Be responsible for verifying all measurements on site in bldg 230, North Bay at Rock Island Arsenal prior to bidding.

– Provide one-year warranty on parts and labor.

– Meet all OSHA, CMAA and ANSI standards.

– Provide scissor or vertical lift for any maintenance needed (other than RIA setting the cranes). – Perform operation and load test on cranes before training begins.

– Provide on-site training for at least 5 operators and 5 maintenance personnel.    

– Provide 5 sets of manuals for operators and 3 sets of complete manuals for maintenance and be used as training tools.

– Operator training. Contractor shall provide instructions on the proper usage and operation of cranes.  Maintenance training shall be separate from operator training and cover all aspects of the new cranes on PMs, electrical, mechanical and troubleshooting.

– Connect both cranes to existing electrical supply which is 3 phase Duct-O-Wire #8-110 amp runway conductor for both cranes

– Mount power distribution box for controls on the south side of bay, opposite power strips. Controls shall be identified North, South, East, West, Up, Down. – 8-

-Design, engineer and install bumpers on four corners of crane.

-Deliver cranes nine weeks after receipt of order.
