The construction of the company building in Rosenfeld’s Dornbrunnen industrial area was celebrated with a groundbreaking ceremony in May last year and this month saw the completion of its production and warehouse spaces (2,245?m²) and a two-storey administration building (740?m²) located at Maybachstraße 7.
The vacuum technology specialist has now relocated around 40 employees to the 7,740?m site.
“With this investment, Eurotech is taking another important step towards a successful future. We have had to expand our physical capacities to keep up with the increased requirements of our industry and the large volume of orders we have been receiving,” said Thomas Schulz, MD, Eurotech.
The company, founded in 1996 by Peter Bunnenberg, decided to return to its roots in Rosenfeld, since being headquartered in nearby Geislingen since 2001, because it had outgrown the space and it was renting a production hall in Balingen.
This new building not only offers significantly more space, it has access to the A81 motorway and is energy-efficient: Constructed as a KfW 55 low-energy facility, the building only needs 55% of the amount of electricity compared with a reference building according to the German Energy Conservation Regulation (EnEV).
Streamlined workflows and no longer having to transport material between Geislingen and Balingen has led to an efficiency boost of approximately 20%.
Eurotech received assistance for its new building from the state of Baden-Württemberg. Its funding scheme ‘Spitze auf dem Land! Technologieführer für Baden-Württemberg, Ländlicher Raum’ development programme supports the development and economic utilisation of new products and services.
The construction project was planned and managed by Bau Cooperation in Offenburg.
