“Our state-of-the-art control and drive technologies for hoist systems offer mine operators high productivity and low energy consumption,” said Leif Andersson, head of the so-called ABB global centre of excellence for underground mining business.
He added: “We are also delighted that our reliable brake system can contribute to safe production for our Chinese mine operators.”
ABB will supply both electrical and mechanical equipment including ACS 6000SD variable speed drives, 1550 kW synchronous machines and AC800M control systems, plus all mechanical parts including complete hydraulic brake systems.
The previous delivery of two hoists to Tunliu Coal Mine of the same group has been a decisive factor, it believed, in ABB winning this contract.
