Begni Group is changing its attitude to Software as a Service in Italy by driving growth of RiConnect technology.
The Travagliato, Brescia-based company provides RiConnect software with its range of lifting slings and lashing systems for load securement in onshore and offshore applications — the majority of which are supplied to the Italian market, via agents and direct to the point of use.
Begni supplies lifting equipment, including polyester slings; wire rope slings; sling protection; chain slings; magnetic lifters; lifting clamps; hoists; jacks; and swivel lifting points. It also offers load securement tools, such as lashings; cargo bars; anti-slip mats; corner protection; polyester straps; buckles; tensioners; dunnage airbags; and inflating tools. Both ranges are complemented by state-of-the-art microchips and software.
“RiConnect is at the forefront of our Tech for Safety campaign. Begni Group has been implementing RiConnect solutions for two years; we started to offer microchips and RiConnect software to customers and resellers, including those used with our slings. Critical asset management, traceability, and compliance are central to Tech for Safety, and our customers immediately showed great interest in the advantages of RiConnect,” said Elisa Vanoni, sales & marketing specialist, Begni Group.
RiConnect is helping to digitalise the entire supply chain in Italy, with Vanoni pointing to document digitalisation; traceability; manufacturer authentication; asset geo-localisation; and simplicity of pre-use checks and maintenance. RiConnect technology follows materials from the point of manufacture to use, and sustainability is enhanced because it eliminates the need for paperwork.
Vanoni added: “Thanks to technologically advanced microchips and RiConnect software, the management of company products and equipment has become faster, more effective, and precise. All documents and certifications are in one place and ready to be consulted and updated.
“More resources have been allocated to spread this new technology even further; we are convinced that next year we will double RiConnect sales here in Italy.”
The potential for scalability and widespread adoption are endless.
