Berg Bros of the Netherlands has sold a double-hoist 6.3t capacity single-girder bridge crane that uses rubber wheels that run on concrete rather than crane rail.

Groningen-based customer BAM Utiliteitsbouw, a construction company, needed a crane for only three months for construction work. To avoid the cost of two 200m crane rail lengths, Van Den Berg fitted a special carriage and wheels for driving on concrete.

BAM has already sold the crane to another company for use on crane rail once the job finishes.

The crane uses two SWF hoists.
