Super-short headroom models of its electric single fall chain hoists have been introduced by UK manufacturer Clayton.

Originally developed for beer and wine cellars, the hoists are appropriate for any application where headroom is at a premium, according to Clayton.

The hoists are mounted in the horizontal plane and the chain is guided over load sprockets before lifting or lowering vertically. The hoist frame is mounted and with a selection of trolleys available it can be push/pull or power driven for monorail or crane applications.

The hoists have a modular design, allowing for customisation to meet specific lifting requirements.
