The Caldwell Group has appointed Brian Sochocki as regional sales manager overseeing the company’s eastern US region for its RUD product line.
Sochocki will manage the sales and marketing efforts for RUD material handling and lifting devices, which include slings, hoist rings, and lifting points, used for complex tasks across various applications.
Caldwell has partnered with the RUD Group to consolidate its sales and marketing activities for RUD products in North America. Sochocki’s role will focus on raising the US profile of the RUD portfolio, which is already renowned for its quality in Europe and other international markets. In addition to RUD, he will handle Caldwell and Renfroe products.
“Brian brings instant credibility due to his strong relationships in the lifting and rigging community. He is both knowledgeable and personable, fitting well into our company culture. His presence in the Eastern US will help boost visibility for a product line we plan to grow significantly in the coming year,” said Darrin Noe, director, Sales and Marketing, The Caldwell Group.
Sochocki, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, joins Caldwell from Bishop Lifting, where he worked in various roles, including outside sales for central Indiana. He brings over 12 years of experience in lifting and rigging equipment manufacturing. He will cover the territory east of the Mississippi River, including Canada, with the exception of Wisconsin and Illinois.
“I have extensive knowledge of the physics behind angular tension and the critical role of hoist rings in rigging,” said Sochocki. “My focus now is to understand the value proposition of RUD products and what sets them apart in the market. Hoist rings, for example, are indispensable in lifting tasks that require a rigging triangle. They enhance both the control and safety of lifting, especially when dealing with items like dies, which typically lack natural pick points.”
Sochocki’s appointment is part of Caldwell’s strategy to position its sales team closer to the point of use. Recently, the company made its first direct hire in a territory, with Teddy Berman joining as a full-time employee. Jay Schroeder and Steve Mueller also represent RUD’s Germany-manufactured products in the US.
Noe added, “As our sales organization evolves, it’s essential for our team to possess a diverse set of skills to meet the unique needs of our customers.”
