The conference has a power and energy theme the first morning.  Those speaking on energy-project related projects include Derrick Bailes of the LEEA and Mike Rock, industrial safety manager of RWE npower.

The conference also features a special workshop on wire rope failures led by wire rope designer Roland Verreet, head of Wire Rope Technology.

Kimmo Hytonen, managing director of controls firm Innocrane, Mike Palmer and Dai Davies of British Nuclear Group, Sellafield, Jean Paul Vedrenne, technical director of French inspection company Norisko Equipment, and Frans Busschots, ABB crane project manager, Belgium, are due to speak during a factory crane session.
