Crosby Straightpoint has made software updates to its INSIGHT software, which is supplied with an SW-D USB wireless dongle and can be installed on any Windows tablet or laptop.  It allows connection of up to 126 Crosby Straightpoint wireless load cells, simultaneously.

INSIGHT’s main features include a multi-channel display and data logging mode to view and log load data from connected load cells.  The software also totals loads live on-screen and directly into a .csv file for later analysis at speeds of up to 200Hz.  With its visualisation mode, it is possible to import a photo of the lift and then drag-and-drop load cell displays to replicate the lift on-screen.

The centre of gravity mode connects SP’s range of wireless compression load cells, enabling large items and structures to be weighed and their centre of gravity calculated. The proof load testing feature includes real-time graphing of load tests with auto-generated test certificates.

What’s new: New icons, new look and feel which is easier to use and navigate; Support for multiple dongles added – multiple USB dongles allowing a better line of sight between loadcells and laptop; Date format change in Proof Test Plus based on region; a new trigonometry function enabling users to enter the angle of loadcells and calculate mass and force on a loadcell rigged in a sling application.

There is also a type and search for loadcells – which is much easier to search for connected loadcells, using a new search feature in the loadcell page; a load chart export function – to export real-time load chart for analysis post-lift and added support for a second load cell in the Proof Test Plus screen.

“Kito Crosby is thrilled to announce the latest update to Crosby Straightpoint’s INSIGHT software,” said Peter Hird, commercial & business development lead, Crosby Straightpoint. “With new features and a refreshed look, this release significantly enhances usability, analysis capabilities, and parameter management, making it an invaluable tool for large-scale projects in construction and shipbuilding.”
