Demag claims it has supplied all but 20, though some date back to 1956. It is now responsible for maintenance, repairs, spare parts and crane refurbishment. Typical refurb jobs might include increasing lifting capacities, increasing hoisting and travel speeds and electrical controls upgrades.

It has built an SAP software system to manage the facility and granted Heidelberg access. Demag employees work two shifts at the plant.

As part of the deal, Demag will also maintain suspension monorails, racking systems, conveyor lines, inter-floor lifts and roller belts. It already provides the service for one high-bay warehouse and storage and retrieval machines.
