The event will include a morning of technical presentations, followed by an afternoon of hands-on workshops with the three sponsors, namely Control Techniques, Festo and Heidenhain.

Control Techniques will showcase its new servo drives range, Digitax ST.

“Our hands-on workshop will allow delegates to use a demonstration kit – comprising a laptop, a motor and Digitax Indexer – to programme a motion exercise,” it said.

Delegates will be taken through the issue of where to put the intelligence in an automated system – locally or centrally – and when each approach is appropriate.
